Lead Designer, Golf Footwear Product Design

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of innovative Nike Golf footwear, focusing on craft, problem-solving, and athlete-driven solutions.
• Shape the future of Nike Golf footwear by crafting new standards of fit, form, and construction at the intersection of performance and style.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, and development, to ensure design feasibility and meet product timelines.
• Partner with the design community (industrial designers, materials, color, graphics, 3D) to deliver industry-leading solutions.
• Develop athlete insight-informed designs that advance product performance and aesthetic finish.
• Present design concepts to various audiences under the direction of the Golf Sr Creative Director.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in product design or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training).
• 5-7 years of experience designing and developing innovative footwear products.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.
• Ability to create technical drawings to communicate design intent to factories.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, plastics, and engineering materials.
• Ability to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D design programs.
• Hands-on cobbling and prototyping skills.
• Experience engaging directly with athletes and external partners.
