Lead Design Engineer (Electrical)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for major Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Focus on rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, and turbines
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, and API
• Develop and review electrical design deliverables including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), cable sizing, and grounding systems
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, instrumentation, process) to ensure seamless system integration
• Oversee technical specifications, datasheets, equipment selection, and vendor document evaluations
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
• Lead and mentor junior engineers to ensure quality standards and technical growth
• Participate in risk analysis, HAZOP studies, and other safety and design reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field
• 22 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects
• Mandatory experience working on EPC projects
• Extensive experience with rotating equipment
• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) in both spoken and written forms
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams
