Lead Data Scientist, Financial Services Consulting

Responsibilities

• Lead analytic client engagements involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis across the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle.
• Develop predictive risk management and business intelligence solutions for B2B customers, including credit card issuers and retail banks.
• Design and write programs for data extraction, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling using R, Python, and SQL in cloud environments.
• Deliver analytic insights and recommendations through compelling presentations to internal stakeholders and executive audiences.
• Develop project proposals, sales presentations, and promotional collateral to drive the adoption of integrated customer solutions.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues and identify new business opportunities for analytic products.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or a highly quantitative field.
• 4+ years of professional experience performing analytic work in Financial Services or related industries.
• 3+ years of demonstrated success in client-facing roles.
• Advanced programming skills in R or Python and proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with data management frameworks such as Hive, Hadoop, or Spark.
• Ability to travel 10-20%.
