Lead Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of data scientists to tackle complex business challenges
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic directives and manage project lifecycles
• Build and implement predictive models using machine learning to support new business initiatives
• Perform exploratory data analysis and validate large datasets to uncover actionable insights
• Present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders and the executive committee
• Partner with software developers and machine learning engineers to deploy models into production
• Identify and integrate new datasets to enhance system capabilities and data mining efforts

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data science
• 2+ years of experience in project management
• Proficiency in data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling
• Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, R, and SAS
• Experience with Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work effectively in a research-oriented environment with multiple concurrent projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, economics, or a related discipline
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field
