Lead Data Science Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead complex data science initiatives using advanced analytical techniques, statistical models, and algorithms to drive actionable business insights.
• Review and analyze multi-faceted business and technical challenges through in-depth hypothesis generation and advanced analysis.
• Collaborate with senior managers to drive strategic recommendations based on data-driven patterns and trends.
• Execute complex analytical experiments and create innovative statistical models to solve abstract business problems.
• Own end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions, from problem framing and execution to validation and business adoption.
• Design and guide scalable analytics solutions leveraging Python, SQL, cloud platforms, and data lake architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to peers, setting standards for analytical rigor and best practices.
• Communicate complex insights to non-technical audiences using data storytelling and visualization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education.
• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data lake architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing or supporting capacity forecasting, productivity, or workforce optimization models.
• Demonstrated understanding of the U.S. home mortgage business and related processes.
