Lead Data Quality Governance and Strategy Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure high-quality information across the enterprise
• Align with stakeholders to enforce or remediate non-standard data usage
• Maintain metadata repositories and keep standards and process documentation up to date with industry trends
• Collaborate with data stewards to promote governance best practices across the organization
• Monitor and report on data quality metrics using automated KPIs for transparent progress reporting
• Provide guidance on data governance principles for various projects
• Assist in risk and issue management, ensuring control processes are integrated into daily responsibilities
• Work with project managers and scrum masters to update project plans and mitigate risks

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance or data management
• Experience working in Financial Services or another highly regulated environment
• Working knowledge of SQL and data modeling tools
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and platforms
• Ability to facilitate educational and working sessions with stakeholders and SMEs
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
