Lead Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and build of complex cloud engineering solutions for digital analytics, data warehousing, machine learning, and generative AI
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Marketing Science, and architecture teams to translate business needs into technical specifications
• Champion infrastructure as code, CI/CD best practices, and cloud security standards
• Mentor and coach the data engineering team to uphold high standards of output
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to evolve the engineering practice

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing Google Cloud Platform solutions in Marketing Analytics or Machine Learning domains
• Deep expertise in data warehousing and ETL using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, and Apache Beam
• Hands-on experience with GCP tools including Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions
• Thorough knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Terraform, and GitHub Actions
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and performance optimization
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience with QA, UAT, and data validation processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Certification (Professional Data Engineer, ML Engineer, or Cloud Architect)
• Knowledge of digital marketing and advertising concepts
• Experience guiding teams through organizational change
• Background in Computer Science or Information Technology
