Lead Data Consultant

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-level data solutions from discovery through prototyping and architectural design
• Work with Azure tools including Databricks, Data Factory, and Hadoop to create big data environments
• Utilize Microsoft Azure and SQL Data analytics stacks for various projects
• Satisfy requirements for both internal and external customers
• Support the development of other team members
• Contribute to the Data & AI internal and external community

Requirements

• Expertise in creating complex SQL queries
• Experience with Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS, SSIS, or SSAS)
• Commercial experience with Power BI for data visualization
• Experience in architectural decision-making for data solutions
• Proficiency in at least two core technologies: Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, Power BI/DAX, or Data Modelling/Warehouse Theory
• Strategic and operational decision-making skills
• Ability to guide, direct, or influence people

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Data Factory
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD, or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
• Familiarity with Azure AI Services (OpenAI, Cognitive Services)
• Databricks or Microsoft Azure Certifications
• Interest in Data Science and Data Modelling
