Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the existing merchant credit risk portfolio and ensure team SLAs for underwriting and reviews are met.
  • Design and implement a new credit risk framework and roadmap for new financial products from the ground up.
  • Build a scalable credit risk system that reduces customer friction and enables faster approvals.
  • Manage and develop a team of five analysts through coaching and clear performance plans.
  • Optimize assessment processes by leveraging AI tooling to automate routine cases.
  • Provide regular, structured reporting to leadership regarding portfolio performance and strategic risk.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of people management experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on experience in both Payment Service Provider (PSP) and banking environments.
  • Proven expertise in credit model and policy development, including building scorecards from scratch.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across sales, operations, and leadership.
  • Operational mindset with the ability to dive into technical details.
  • Motivation to work in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leveraging AI tooling for process automation.
