About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed cost estimates from feasibility through to tendering
  • Prepare comprehensive estimate, cost, procurement, and tender reports
  • Present cost-related information and commercial strategies to clients and stakeholders
  • Oversee cost control processes to optimize project profitability and minimize budget overruns
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and manage interim payment processing
  • Analyze project costs, identify variances, and prepare comprehensive cost forecasts
  • Lead and mentor the cost management team on estimation techniques and best practices
  • Conduct contract cost analysis and review contractual terms for savings potential
  • Manage cost management software systems and maintain documentation standards
  • Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to meet cost objectives

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in cost estimation or cost control
  • Professional accreditation such as MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent
  • Expertise in cost analysis, budget forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of cost estimation methodologies
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large-scale construction or engineering project environments
  • Knowledge of project finance management and risk assessment
  • Project management certification
  • Prior UAE construction industry experience
