Lead Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed cost estimates from feasibility through to tendering
• Prepare comprehensive cost, procurement, and tender reports for clients and senior management
• Present cost-related information and commercial strategies to clients and project stakeholders
• Oversee cost control processes to optimize project profitability and minimize budget overruns
• Monitor project expenditures, manage interim payments, and ensure accurate cost reporting
• Analyze project costs, identify variances, and prepare comprehensive cost forecasts
• Lead and mentor the cost management team on estimation techniques and best practices
• Conduct contract cost analysis to identify commercial opportunities and savings potential
• Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure cost objectives are met

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in cost estimation or cost control
• Fluent Arabic (written and verbal) and English language proficiency
• Professional accreditation such as MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent
• Expertise in cost analysis, budget forecasting, and variance analysis
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale construction or engineering project environments
• Knowledge of project finance management and risk assessment
• Project management certification or relevant professional credentials
• Prior experience within the UAE construction industry
