About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement, administer and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts
- Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates
- Provide cost information to support decision making and alternative selection
- Evaluate and analyze fee proposals and bids
- Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis
- Maintain and manage cost reports and provide regular updates on financial position
- Assist in the development, validation and maintenance of the project schedule
- Develop reporting tracking tools and generate cost reports including earned value evaluation
- Build intricate spreadsheets for fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets
- Extract and transform data from several sources to fit operational needs
- Reconcile data to ensure accuracy and create a clean audit trail
- Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable
Requirements
- 8+ years of Cost Control experience within construction
- Recognized university degree in Construction Management or a related field
