About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and program advanced building automation systems, including site-specific configurations and control algorithms
  • Create clear design documentation and technical information for project teams
  • Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems
  • Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation
  • Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customer needs are met
  • Lead smaller projects and mentor junior engineers to help develop their skills
  • Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience, OR Associate Degree with 6+ years of BAS experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of BAS experience
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, or N2
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or similar software
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet above grade

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in an Engineering or Construction discipline
  • Experience in HVAC controls or a related industry
  • Proficiency with Automated Logic software suites and associated engineering tools
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise IP networks
  • Ability to translate technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences
