About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and program advanced building automation systems, including site-specific configurations and control algorithms
- Create clear design documentation and technical information for project teams
- Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems
- Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation
- Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customer needs are met
- Lead smaller projects and mentor junior engineers to help develop their skills
- Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience, OR Associate Degree with 6+ years of BAS experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of BAS experience
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, or N2
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or similar software
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet above grade
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in an Engineering or Construction discipline
- Experience in HVAC controls or a related industry
- Proficiency with Automated Logic software suites and associated engineering tools
- Strong understanding of Enterprise IP networks
- Ability to translate technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences
