Lead Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and program advanced building automation systems, including site-specific configurations and control algorithms
• Create clear design documentation and technical information for project teams
• Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems
• Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation
• Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customer needs are met
• Lead smaller projects and mentor junior engineers to help develop their skills
• Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of building automation/HVAC experience OR Associate Degree with 6+ years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience
• Ability to travel to client locations approximately 50% of the time
• Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift items up to 50lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in an Engineering or Construction discipline
• Proficiency with Automated Logic software suites and associated engineering tools
• Strong knowledge of third-party communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, or N2
• Understanding of Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Visio
• Ability to translate complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences
