Lead Consultant - Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Manage a designated book of large or complex pharmacy accounts with assistance from the account team
• Proactively consult on plan design, pricing, benchmarking, plan renewal, and vendor management
• Act as a subject matter expert within the Pharmacy practice to optimize client satisfaction and retention
• Support new business generation by collaborating with Producers and leading the RFP process
• Serve as the primary contact for vendor partners and negotiate plan terms and design changes
• Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting regarding trends and financial performance
• Lead client meetings and provide strategic guidance on pharmacy benefit plan designs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with PBMs, specialty pharmacies, and other pharmacy vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, specifically within PBMs or health plans
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy benefits across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plans
• Strong understanding of welfare benefits (medical, dental, life, AD&D, disability) and basic insurance risk
• Proven expertise in negotiation, communication, and client relationship management
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and federal/state legislation
• Proficiency in computer skills, including advanced spreadsheet expertise
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and vendor engagement
