Lead, Climate Practice

Responsibilities

• Shape the long-term strategic agenda for the Climate Practice across decarbonisation, energy transitions, circularity, resilience, and climate justice.
• Provide strategic oversight for a diverse portfolio of engagements, including climate risk assessments, decarbonisation strategies, and blended finance structures.
• Act as a subject matter expert to guide project teams in interpreting climate science, policy frameworks, and emissions pathways.
• Build and deepen relationships with senior decision-makers across global policy bodies, philanthropic funders, industry leaders, and multilateral organizations.
• Represent Sattva at national and global forums and contribute to external-facing thought leadership.
• Lead business development efforts by identifying market opportunities, shaping technical proposals, and strengthening commercial narratives.
• Build, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of climate professionals.
• Ensure project profitability and high-quality delivery for all client engagements.

Requirements

• 12–18 years of experience in climate action, sustainability, decarbonisation, climate policy, ESG, or related domains.
• Proven expertise in designing or guiding climate programs focused on mitigation, adaptation, or circularity.
• Strong theoretical grounding in climate science or policy combined with a market-oriented and sales-driven mindset.
• Extensive experience working with government bodies, multilaterals, corporates, and philanthropic funders.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex climate insights into context-specific, market-relevant solutions.
• Strong commercial orientation with experience in proposal development and business growth.
• Excellent communication, synthesis, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to build and scale a practice area.
