Lead Civil Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and interpretation of design drawings and specification requirements to subcontractors.
• Perform fundamental design checks and field re-designs as required.
• Administer discipline-specific subcontract requirements and monitor compliance with technical specifications.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with the CPM schedule and manage extra work authorization requests.
• Maintain daily site logs, perform quantity take-offs, and review subcontractor progress payment requests.
• Direct site document control activities and assist with quality assurance inspections and test verifications.
• Lead and direct other discipline engineers, general foremen, craft personnel, and vendor representatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or an equivalent foreign institution.
• 5+ years of site construction experience on CCGT projects in a Lead capacity.
• Ability to work in a construction site environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and physical labor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the construction and commissioning of at least two large CCGT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
