Lead Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review civil engineering designs, plans, method statements, and construction procedures
• Verify construction work aligns with approved design specifications
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Oversee quality control and assurance procedures for civil construction activities
• Identify and address construction issues, conflicts, and discrepancies
• Ensure civil construction activities are executed according to the project schedule
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
• Assist in evaluating site progress, progress payments, change orders, and claims
• Review and assess contractor claims and work to resolve disputes
• Oversee project closeout, including documentation, punch lists, and final inspections
• Facilitate communication between contractors, the engineering team, and the site manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a lead civil engineer in large-scale construction projects
• Experience in the energy or power industry preferred
• In-depth knowledge of local and international design codes and standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Master's degree in civil engineering or a related field
