Lead Civil and Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Represent and lead the civil engineering discipline within AFRY Netherlands
• Act as the primary point of contact for all civil and structural engineering projects
• Responsible for design and engineering of concrete structures, steel structures, foundations, buildings, pipe racks, and machine supports in the process industry
• Execute all engineering phases including feasibility studies, concept, basic, and detail engineering
• Oversee construction supervision, delivery, and site handover
• Manage cost estimation, planning input, risk assessment, and project control
• Supervise civil activities in EPCM projects and manage subcontractors
• Provide on-site support including inspections and acceptance processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
• Fluency in Dutch (spoken and written) and excellent English proficiency
• Multiple years of experience in planning, design coordination, and project management of civil and steel projects
• Experience in chemical, refinery, or power plant construction
• Knowledge of modern engineering tools and software
• Familiarity with European/Dutch civil and structural steel standards
• Experience working on construction sites
