About the role
Responsibilities
- Support clients with activities of daily living including cleaning, laundry, and dishes
- Cook and serve meals
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship through daily activities and hobbies
- Transport clients for errands or appointments using personal vehicle
- Assist with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
- Monitor and report on client condition
- Cover critical shifts including fill-ins, new clients, and training new caregivers
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass state and national background checks
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record
- One year of experience in home care, AFH, hospital, or nursing home settings
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work with different care levels beyond companionship
- Smartphone with ability to use AxisCare app
- Current valid CEs if an HCA in Washington
Preferred Qualifications
- Active state CNA or HCA license
- Nurse delegation certification
