About the role
Responsibilities
- Support clients with activities of daily living including cleaning, laundry, and dishes
- Cook and serve meals
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship through daily activities and hobbies
- Transport clients for errands or appointments using personal vehicle
- Assist with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
- Monitor and report on client condition
- Cover critical shifts including fill-ins, new clients, and training shifts for new caregivers
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license
- One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital, or nursing home setting
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record
- Ability to pass state and national background checks
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Smartphone with ability to use AxisCare app
- Ability to work on short notice within a 15-mile radius
Preferred Qualifications
- Nurse Delegation certification
