About the role
Responsibilities
- Support clients with activities of daily living including household chores, cooking, and meal service
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship through daily activities and hobbies
- Transport clients for errands or appointments using personal vehicle
- Assist with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
- Monitor and report on client conditions
- Cover critical shifts including fill-ins, new clients, and training shifts for new caregivers
- Remain available on-call during assigned availability times
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and clean driving record
- One year of experience in home care, AFH, hospital, or nursing home settings
- Ability to pass state and national background checks
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to provide care beyond companionship for various care levels
- Smartphone with ability to use the AxisCare app
Preferred Qualifications
- Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license
