Lead Buyer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing and tender issuance to contract execution
• Implement category strategies by monitoring market trends, innovations, and technological developments
• Manage tender processes, including competitive bidding, evaluation of offers, and supporting committee work
• Lead contract negotiations and ensure legal, financial, and safety compliance throughout the approval process
• Provide leadership and professional development for team members, including performance evaluations
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and manage complex problem-solving and claims
• Contribute to the continuous optimization and efficiency of procurement processes

Requirements

• Higher education degree in Economics, Engineering, or Law
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement and tendering
• C1 level English proficiency; Hungarian language skills are an advantage
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proactive business mindset and ethical approach to decision-making
• Proficiency in MS Office, eProcurement tools, and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) relevant service procurement
• Familiarity with the market for supporting services
