Lead Business Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the development of scalable data solutions that deliver reliable and actionable insights across the organization
• Drive the evolution of the data model to ensure it supports both current and future business needs
• Architect and oversee data pipelines that efficiently ingest, transform, and serve data for analytical use cases
• Define and drive best practices in data modeling, data quality, and performance optimization across the BI platform
• Develop and optimize semantic layers that enable self-service analytics and consistent reporting
• Guide the design of dashboards and analytical products to ensure clarity, usability, and business relevance
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic goals
• Identify opportunities to enhance the platform with advanced analytics and AI

Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong experience in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering with a track record of delivering end-to-end solutions
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
• Hands-on experience with modern data warehouses, specifically BigQuery
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments
• Experience with orchestration tools and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
• Experience with data transformation tools such as dbt or Dataform
• Experience with Power BI and semantic layer design
• Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
