Lead Building Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating conditions and control parameters of all HVAC and mechanical equipment
• Promote and maintain energy efficiency for electrical, water, and gas consumption
• Supervise chiller maintenance, emergency generator, and water treatment contractors
• Participate in and supervise routine repair and emergency maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems
• Perform unscheduled maintenance including plumbing, electrical, lighting, and minor structural repairs
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and maintain detailed equipment records
• Conduct proactive building tours to identify and initiate repairs for deficiencies
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis

Requirements

• Five years of HVAC maintenance experience
• Expertise in centrifugal chiller operations and energy management
• Proficiency in generator operation and troubleshooting techniques
• Universal Refrigeration Certification
• Strong electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
• Experience in compressor change out
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds and climb ladders
• High school education or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal Technical Training in HVAC
