About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor operating conditions of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
- Oversee service contractors and ensure compliance with building standards
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers to resolve issues
- Conduct regular building inspections and address deficiencies
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules and record equipment readings
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations
- Maintain professional communication with vendors, tenants, and leadership
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- 5-7 years of industry-related experience
- At least 1 year of supervisory or mentoring experience
- Engineering and trade licenses required by local/state/national regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, energy management software, and CMMS
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), HVAC, and electrical controls
- Familiarity with blueprints, code requirements, and fire/life safety equipment
- Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Physical ability to stand, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
