Lead BESS Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead crews of 5–40+ technicians
• Supervise subcontractors and multiple trades
• Plan daily work activities and project execution
• Manage customer expectations and field communications
• Train and mentor junior technicians
• Maintain a strong safety culture
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Perform electrical troubleshooting using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation resistance testers, power quality analyzers, and thermal imaging equipment

Requirements

• 5+ years of leading teams or supervising experience
• 6+ years of electrical proficiency in medium to high voltage systems
• 6+ years of experience in utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), mission-critical electrical infrastructure, or UPS systems
• Experience in electrical and mechanical construction and commissioning
• Refrigeration system troubleshooting experience (CRAH, CRAC, or industrial HVAC)
• Valid driver's license held for at least one year
• Ability to travel up to 100% across the United States
• Ability to work rotating shifts and in varied climates

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 or OSHA 10 certification
• NFPA 70E or Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
• NETA, NICET, or PMP certification
• Electrical Journeyman, Contractor, or State Electrical License
