High school diploma or equivalent, 5-7 years landscaping or horticulture experience, 3-4 years crew supervision experience, Valid Mississippi driver’s license
About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate between the Landscape Manager and Beautification Coordinators for assigned projects
- Supervise inmate work crews engaged in litter reduction, maintenance of medians, and right of ways
- Review work orders to determine service, equipment, and workforce requirements
- Investigate citizen complaints and requests to determine necessary remedial actions
- Transport inmate crews to and from County/State Correctional Facilities
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and effectiveness of chemical applications
- Train, instruct, and direct inmate workers in accordance with organizational and correctional policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience in landscaping or horticulture
- 3-4 years of experience supervising a work crew
- Valid Mississippi driver’s license
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions
