About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee servicing, repairing, and maintenance of aircraft avionics to ensure flight safety
- Supervise production personnel and coordinate area activities to minimize delays
- Plan and delegate job duties for scheduled and drop-in maintenance functions
- Research electrical/avionic service bulletins, ADs, and STCs regarding tooling and material needs
- Perform routine and special maintenance inspections on navigation, communication, and flight control systems
- Fabricate wiring harnesses and install/modify avionic and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify defective assemblies using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and circuit testers
- Interpret flight test data and technical wiring diagrams
- Ensure compliance with FAA maintenance regulations and safety standards
Requirements
- High School/GED
- At least 8 years of experience in avionics or aircraft electrical systems
- Proper certification in accordance with FAR Part 65
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft electrical/electronic components and functions
- Ability to interpret aircraft technical documentation and the metric system
- Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts as required
Preferred Qualifications
- A&P certification
- FCC General Operator's License
