Lead AV Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install network hardware, components, and cabling including copper and fiber
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network cabling and hardware
• Rack and stack networking hardware in onsite and off-site racks
• Create site survey reports on MDF and IDF readiness
• Perform Pre and Post Wifi surveys using industry standard software
• Manage sub-contractors and track progress against allocated tasks
• Install and de-install AV systems across client sites
• Configure endpoints and supporting infrastructure
• Conduct room audits and perform preventative maintenance on AV equipment
• Identify and resolve hardware faults and system failures
• Carry out on-site User Acceptance Testing and software upgrades
• Document hardware failures and manage Break/Fix and RMA requests

Requirements

• Experience with networking hardware including routers, servers, switches, and PDUs
• Ability to terminate Straight through & Rollover RJ45 copper cables
• Hands-on experience with major manufacturers of routers, switches, and wireless equipment
• Proven experience in AV/Video Conferencing system installation
• Ability to read technical network diagrams, schematics, and port maps
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• 2+ years of Network deployment or Data Centre experience
• Willingness to travel regularly (up to 95% of the time) both within India and internationally
• Valid passport and driving license
• Fluent in spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

• CTS Education: CDCTP, CCNA, JNCIA, CompTIA, or equivalent
