Lead Atlassian Cloud Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain multiple Atlassian Cloud sites ensuring secure collaboration spaces
• Act as the authoritative decision-maker for Atlassian configuration and architectural consistency
• Establish and maintain a configuration-as-code operating model using source control, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines
• Build and maintain automated identity and access provisioning coordinated with Azure AD
• Lead automation efforts for project provisioning, workflows, permissions, and scheme management
• Develop self-service capabilities to standardize project setup and reduce administrative overhead
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on platform and workflow issues
• Build, mentor, and grow the Atlassian platform team

Requirements

• Extensive experience coordinating Atlassian Enterprise Cloud
• Proven experience as a lead or primary Atlassian platform owner
• Strong automation expertise with Jira Automation, REST APIs, and scripting
• Demonstrated experience implementing configuration-as-code for SaaS platforms
• Experience connecting Atlassian with Azure AD or similar IdP
• Experience working in audit-controlled or governance-heavy environments
• Proficient scripting abilities in PowerShell, Python, or Go
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian certifications
• Experience building internal self-service platforms
• Experience directing large-scale collaboration efforts across multiple companies
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling and infrastructure-as-code concepts
