Lead Assortment Planner

Responsibilities

• Drive optimal style and classification plans for Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) by determining style depth, breadth, and flow.
• Partner with Geography Planning and Merchandising to align seasonal product flow strategies with retail opportunities.
• Create bottoms-up plans for NDDC and present recommendations to leadership teams.
• Manage in-season performance by identifying best and slow sellers, monitoring key items, and executing markdowns to manage inventory health.
• Provide post-season recaps, analyzing SKU productivity, color performance, and the impact of seasonal marketing stories.
• Incorporate seasonal marketing initiatives and consumer moments into financial and assortment plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 6 years of retail experience in merchandise, business, demand, or supply planning.
• Strong ability to interpret financial sales data and a comprehensive understanding of retail math.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.
• Experience creating monthly reports, style-level sales plans, and tracking promotional calendars.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a vertical retailer with digital commerce.
• Knowledge of the sports apparel and footwear market.
• Experience with planning software, tools, and merchandise management systems.
