Lead Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and roadmap for payment processing platforms to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Design end-to-end solutions for real-time transaction processing, fraud detection, and risk management.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and operations teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and patterns to meet scalability and performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, data privacy, and other relevant financial regulations.
• Drive innovation by leveraging AI-enabled engineering patterns and staying current with industry trends.
• Define the technical target state for products and drive the achievement of the long-term strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Strong understanding of payment flows, transaction lifecycles, and payment network integrations.
• Hands-on experience with API design, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Proven experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms and migrating them to cloud-based environments.
• Ability to design for non-functional requirements such as resiliency, high availability, and low latency.
• Familiarity with security standards including PCI DSS and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large-scale financial systems or high-availability transaction processing.
• Prior experience with international payment schemes and multi-region cloud deployments.
