Lead Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, and Tomcat application servers
• Manage horizontal and vertical clustering and Workload Management (WLM) in clustered environments
• Debug WEB/JAVA applications, manage logging, and resolve performance issues
• Provide development, QA, and migration support for enterprise applications
• Adhere to support processes, best practices, and SLA requirements
• Partner with platform engineering teams to track and resolve client issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Marketing, Business, or related)
• 6-9 years of overall professional experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing industry-leading Application or BI tools on WebSphere, WebLogic, or JBoss in a production environment
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience with Unix/Shell scripting, Perl, or batch automation
• Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and client/server architecture
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to work UK and USA shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of analytical experience
• Knowledge of the retail industry
• Experience with Oracle DB, IHS/IIS Web Servers, and monitoring tools
