Lead API & Integration Platform Architect

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technological roadmap for APIs and integration in alignment with global Enterprise Architecture principles.
• Design robust, scalable, and cloud-native integration architectures, including hybrid solutions.
• Integrate AI and Machine Learning capabilities via APIs, ensuring secure and high-performance consumption.
• Lead API governance and integration platform management to ensure solution consistency and quality.
• Drive business initiatives by identifying value-add opportunities through integration reuse and translating business needs into technical use cases.
• Direct and mentor technical teams, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other architects to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, particularly in Cloud services and AI/ML integration.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of significant experience in integration and API architecture.
• Proven experience within the Banking (Retail) and/or Automotive sectors.
• Deep expertise in IBM WebMethods solutions (Integration Server, Broker, etc.).
• Proficiency in API Management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Azure API Management, Mulesoft).
• Strong expertise in data-driven architectures and streaming technologies, specifically Apache Kafka.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing solutions in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid knowledge of microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and integration protocols (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, etc.).
• Understanding of API security principles (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT).
• Experience integrating AI/ML services via APIs and managing associated data/latency challenges.
• Fluency in English (written and oral) is essential for this international role.
