Lead A&P Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine or special maintenance inspections to prevent aircraft mechanical system failures
• Direct and oversee crew members and manage task card timing
• Determine repair or replacement needs and decide upon necessary repair schemes
• Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies
• Follow approved maintenance procedures using FAA-approved internal procedures and OEM technical data
• Inspect completed work to ensure components meet prescribed standards and tolerances
• Perform serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment
• Complete work package documentation and sign off on designated operations
• Comply with repair station procedures (RSM/QCM) and company policies

Requirements

• High School/GED
• Valid A&P License (FAR 65 Subpart D or Subpart E)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least one aircraft type
• Proficiency in at least one discipline: General Maintenance, Structures, Interiors, or Avionics Systems
• Ability to interpret OEM technical data, blueprints, and specifications
• Proficiency with power and pneumatic hand tools
• Valid Driver's License
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, in confined spaces, and perform overhead work

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role
• Intermediate skills in a Journeyman Technician capacity
