Lead Antenna Design Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, research, and detailed analysis of complex ultrawideband antenna and electronically scanned array (ESA) systems.
• Manage the full product development lifecycle for airborne, maritime, and ground platforms.
• Perform RF front end level requirements, design, testing, and system integration.
• Conduct technical design review briefings and assess project risks and status.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including test, production, and program management to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support business development through technical briefings, customer visits, and accurate NRE cost estimates.
• Write and release system specifications, test procedures, and qualification reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with 9 years of experience, OR a Graduate degree with 7 years of experience, OR 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Proven experience in antenna performance design and analysis (gain, bandwidth, polarization, etc.).
• Expertise in RF Link Budgets and cascade analysis.
• Deep understanding of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF, UHF, and microwave bands).
• Proficiency with simulation and analysis tools such as HFSS, CST, SystemVue, ADS, and MATLAB.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with phased array design.
• Knowledge of antenna range measurement techniques (Near Field, Far Field, Compact Ranges).
• Familiarity with RF technologies including radar, SATCOM, and digital beamforming.
• Advanced proficiency with RF lab equipment (VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators).
• Programming skills in MATLAB, C/C++, LabVIEW, Qt, or Python.
• Experience with PCB schematic/layout drawings and mechanical drawings.
