Lead Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and own the dbt project end-to-end, including mart architecture, modeling conventions, and documentation
• Design dimensional models for human dashboards and downstream AI agents
• Implement CI/CD discipline for the dbt project
• Manage Fivetran ingestion and design reverse-ETL pipelines
• Migrate legacy reports to a BigQuery foundation
• Utilize AI coding tools like Claude and Cursor to accelerate development
• Set technical standards and mentor teammates within the data function

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building analytics or data engineering systems
• Deep, hands-on experience owning a dbt project
• Strong business fluency in B2B SaaS and GTM workflows
• Expert SQL and dimensional modeling skills
• Production experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred)
• Experience with managed ELT platforms like Fivetran
• Demonstrated daily use of AI coding tools for production work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for automation and integration
• Experience with workflow automation tools like Workato or Airflow
• Reverse-ETL experience with Census or Hightouch
• Familiarity with the GTM data stack (Salesforce, Marketo, Gong)
• Experience building an analytics warehouse from a greenfield state
• Background in Business Systems, Revenue Operations, or Cybersecurity
