Lead AI Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical research on geometry, BIM, and multimodal AI for AEC workflows
• Design and implement novel model architectures suited to architectural data
• Drive the research-to-production pipeline for AI capabilities
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate research into shipped features
• Establish evaluation standards and benchmarks for domain-specific AI
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the technical direction of the team

Requirements

• 5+ years of ML/AI research or applied research engineering experience
• Strong publication record or equivalent industry research output
• Deep expertise in at least one of: computer vision, geometric ML, NLP, or multimodal learning
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX)
• Experience taking research from prototype to production

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with architectural, BIM, or CAD data
• Familiarity with regulatory document understanding or structured knowledge extraction
• LLM fine-tuning, RAG, or agent system design
• PhD in ML, Computer Vision, Robotics, or related field
