Lead AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship LLM-powered agents and workflows to automate complex internal processes
• Work with frontier models using tool/function calling, structured outputs, MCP, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration
• Build evaluation harnesses, guardrails, and quality feedback loops for production AI systems
• Integrate enterprise platforms like Slack, Google Workspace, and Jira into AI-assisted workflows
• Drive technical strategy for AI adoption and develop governance frameworks for safe AI usage
• Create reference implementations and documentation to enable other teams to build AI workflows

Requirements

• Proven experience shipping LLM systems in production (agents, copilots, or RAG applications)
• Practical fluency in prompt engineering, context engineering, and agent frameworks
• Experience measuring and improving AI output quality through evals and feedback loops
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Clojure
• Strong API and integration skills with a focus on maintainable software engineering
• Ability to distinguish between problems requiring LLMs versus deterministic automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with workflow automation platforms like n8n or Zapier
• Exposure to AWS and infrastructure-as-code
• Familiarity with AI developer tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot
