About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and lead end-to-end advanced manufacturing processes, including process development, parameters, optimization, and tooling design.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process stability, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, safety regulations, and industry requirements.
- Support the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation and advanced processing methods.
- Manage technical ownership of coating processes, specifically focusing on thermal barrier coatings and EBPVD.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or 10+ years of EBPVD Thermal Coating Engineering experience.
- Proven experience in advanced manufacturing and process optimization within aerospace or highly regulated industries.
- Strong expertise in thermal coating technologies, including ceramic and aluminizing.
- Experience in data analysis and process control, such as statistical process control (SPC).
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a technical leadership capacity.
- Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected status) due to export control laws.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct hands-on experience with EBPVD coating processes.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation and robotics.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Strong project management and continuous improvement experience.
