About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead end-to-end advanced manufacturing processes, including process development, parameters, optimization, and tooling design.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process stability, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, safety regulations, and industry requirements.
  • Support the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation and advanced processing methods.
  • Manage technical ownership of coating processes, specifically focusing on thermal barrier coatings and EBPVD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or 10+ years of EBPVD Thermal Coating Engineering experience.
  • Proven experience in advanced manufacturing and process optimization within aerospace or highly regulated industries.
  • Strong expertise in thermal coating technologies, including ceramic and aluminizing.
  • Experience in data analysis and process control, such as statistical process control (SPC).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a technical leadership capacity.
  • Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected status) due to export control laws.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct hands-on experience with EBPVD coating processes.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation and robotics.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement experience.
