Lead Actuarial Predictive Modeler

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement actuarial pricing models and predictive segmentation strategies using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Build complex predictive models focused on pricing segmentation, lifetime value, acquisition, retention, and conversion.
• Lead the end-to-end pricing initiative process, including exploratory analysis, model development, governance, implementation, and monitoring.
• Partner with Actuarial, Product, Underwriting, and IT teams to translate business objectives into actuarially defensible solutions.
• Mentor team members to assist with technical development, training, and career pathing.
• Propose new technologies and tools to benefit the Predictive Modeling and Analytics business unit.
• Ensure all projects include proper documentation to address regulatory, legal, and business requirements.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Actuarial, Statistical, or Data Science field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 7-9 years of experience building and deploying predictive models within an insurance environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Advanced knowledge of ratemaking, actuarial methods, and predictive modeling/data science methodologies.
• Demonstrated success implementing predictive modeling solutions for specific insurance use cases.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7-9 years of direct Actuarial experience.
• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).
