Lead Accountant

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze financial data to ensure the integrity of accounting records and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and record journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations in Blackline.
• Partner with IT and various business units to implement system upgrades and process improvements.
• Serve as a mentor and lead for less experienced accountants and interns, providing direction and reviewing work.
• Support the monthly accounting closeout process by performing reviews and offering guidance.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and successful completion of internal and external audits.
• Document and maintain internal procedures and lead special projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting or finance experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP.
• Experience using RightAngle.
