Layout Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and update the Ericsson Factory America layout procedure and process instructions for AutoCAD drawings
• Create and update drawings for production lines, workplaces, equipment, office, and warehouse areas
• Ensure all layouts comply with health, safety, ergonomics, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), and construction standards
• Design and indicate engineering infrastructure on layouts, including power, heat, ventilation, and communication networks
• Provide and implement production line layout proposals to optimize space utilization
• Monitor flow efficiency within production and warehouse processes
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to design, develop, and continuously improve factory layouts

Requirements

• Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 2 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio for designing and simulating complex layouts
• Proven experience in layout design and maximizing space utilization
• Experience defining process flows with a focus on cycle time reduction
• Knowledge of inbound and outbound material flow requirements
