Layout Clerk

Responsibilities

• Process incoming samples into the analysis stream, including receiving, organizing, and verifying client information
• Coordinate day-to-day sample reception activities and act as a primary point of contact for lab staff and Account Managers
• Direct organizational priority based on holding times and rush turnaround requirements
• Receive samples, record temperatures/conditions, and complete required paperwork
• Label samples and distribute them to appropriate locations
• Perform data entry for client information, sample identification, and analysis requirements
• Ensure compliance with all ALS health, safety, and analytical quality procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to stand for a full shift and work in a fast-paced production environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, graveyards, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced production or preparation environment
• Knowledge of high school science courses or basic laboratory safety
• Previous experience working with chemicals or in a laboratory setting
