Lawyers Club Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead residence operations and implement programmatic opportunities to maintain a positive, learner-centered community.
• Communicate and promote University policies, including student conflict resolution processes.
• Directly supervise and support student Resident Advisors, including training and selection processes.
• Support law students by referring them to appropriate Law School Student Life and campus resources.
• Coordinate residential services including facilities, dining, catering, and room reservations.
• Manage the Programming & Training operational budget and assist with administrative reporting.
• Collaborate with University of Michigan Law School partners to facilitate events hosted in the Lawyers Club.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Educational Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a student environment.
• Experience facilitating conversations around topics of learning, difference, and inclusion.
• Proven event planning and coordination skills with strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Proficiency in associated computer and technology skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working specifically with graduate and professional students.
• Familiarity with campus systems such as Sessions@Michigan, Happening@Michigan, or CampusLabs.
• Experience utilizing integrative learning models.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with experience in community development.

About the Company

The University of Michigan Lawyers Club serves as a residence for law students and a gathering space for the legal education community. It works in tandem with various law school departments to provide outside-of-the-classroom experiences for students, faculty, and alumni.
