About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead residence operations and implement programmatic opportunities to maintain a positive, learner-centered community.
- Communicate and promote University policies, including student conflict resolution processes.
- Directly supervise and support student Resident Advisors, including training and selection processes.
- Support law students by referring them to appropriate Law School Student Life and campus resources.
- Coordinate residential services including facilities, dining, catering, and room reservations.
- Manage the Programming & Training operational budget and assist with administrative reporting.
- Collaborate with University of Michigan Law School partners to facilitate events hosted in the Lawyers Club.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Educational Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a student environment.
- Experience facilitating conversations around topics of learning, difference, and inclusion.
- Proven event planning and coordination skills with strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Proficiency in associated computer and technology skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically with graduate and professional students.
- Familiarity with campus systems such as Sessions@Michigan, Happening@Michigan, or CampusLabs.
- Experience utilizing integrative learning models.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with experience in community development.
