About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily law library operations, including technical services, catalog maintenance, and enforcing library policies
- Support circulation and interlibrary loan processes, including managing the check-in/out of materials and user accounts
- Provide basic legal research assistance and library orientation to students
- Offer academic technology support by troubleshooting library equipment, printers, scanners, and digital research tools
- Assist faculty and students with the course management system and resolve access concerns
- Provide professional customer service to patrons in person, via email, or over the phone
- Track usage statistics and compile reports to help improve library operations
Requirements
- Must be a current University of La Verne student
- Reliable transportation to the Ontario, CA campus (this position is not located at the main La Verne campus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Federal Work Study eligibility
- Previous experience working in a library or academic support setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
