Law Enforcement Crisis Liaison

Responsibilities

• Co-locate at 911 dispatch centers to provide in-the-moment training and coaching to staff
• Coordinate between police departments and the Crisis Response Network (CRN)
• Develop mental health and crisis system training for law enforcement and 911 leadership
• Respond to incoming crisis requests via phone, email, text, or chat
• Screen and triage crisis requests using risk assessment tools to ensure safety
• Document all interactions in electronic health records according to industry standards
• Provide health education and community resources based on interventions

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience managing high-risk, high-acuity, or crisis patients
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a police background check
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills for high-acuity situations
• Knowledge of behavioral health, crisis assessment, and suicide intervention

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a behavioral health professional
• Contact Center experience
• Experience as a crisis specialist or supervisor
• Knowledge of police procedures and culture
• Training experience
