About the role
Responsibilities
- Co-locate at 911 dispatch centers to provide in-the-moment training and coaching to staff
- Coordinate between police departments and the Crisis Response Network (CRN)
- Develop and complete mental health and crisis system training for law enforcement personnel
- Respond to incoming crisis requests via phone, email, text, or chat
- Screen and triage crisis requests using risk assessment tools to ensure safety
- Document all interactions in electronic health records according to industry standards
- Attend community and stakeholder events to improve system coordination
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a Police Background Check
- 1-2 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field
- Background in Law Enforcement is preferred
- High school diploma/GED with 4 years of behavioral health experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's in a related field)
- Ability to work onsite at the Tucson Police Department
- Ability to work Sunday-Wednesday, 10:30-21:00
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Medicaid managed care and behavioral health systems
- Knowledge of suicide intervention and prevention protocols
- Clinical assessment and intervention skills
