Law Enforcement Crisis Liaison

Responsibilities

• Co-locate at 911 dispatch centers to provide in-the-moment training and coaching to staff
• Coordinate between police departments and the Crisis Response Network (CRN)
• Develop and complete mental health and crisis system training for law enforcement personnel
• Respond to incoming crisis requests via phone, email, text, or chat
• Screen and triage crisis requests using risk assessment tools to ensure safety
• Document all interactions in electronic health records according to industry standards
• Attend community and stakeholder events to improve system coordination

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Police Background Check
• 1-2 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field
• Background in Law Enforcement is preferred
• High school diploma/GED with 4 years of behavioral health experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's in a related field)
• Ability to work onsite at the Tucson Police Department
• Ability to work Sunday-Wednesday, 10:30-21:00

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medicaid managed care and behavioral health systems
• Knowledge of suicide intervention and prevention protocols
• Clinical assessment and intervention skills
