Laundry Sorter/Washer

Responsibilities

• Unload clean linen carts and load soiled linen onto trailers
• Deliver clean linen to patient units and clinics
• Count unused linen and adjust orders based on par levels
• Wash, dry, and fold scrubs, curtains, and other washable items using industrial equipment
• Restock Scrubex and alEx dispensing machines
• Follow all Infection Prevention and Control procedures and wear required PPE
• Clean and disinfect equipment using approved chemicals
• Operate tow motors for linen cart transport (Toronto General site)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 23kgs
• Basic mathematical skills for counting and adjusting orders
• Ability to work variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to complete tow motor training and licensing
